Cuckoo For Caca - Faith No More
Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... Mike Patton is a vocal GOD. Anyone who actually needs evidence of this (heehe "Evidence.." ok, nobody will probably get that lol) needs to listen to King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime in it's entirety.

My latest obsession is just a revisited one of this ENTIRE album, but today the particular song that's happily sprawled out across the shag-carpet bedroom of my brain looks like this: Romulus by Sufjan StevensOnce when our mother called, She had a voice of last year's cough. We passed around the phone, Sharing a word about Oregon. When my turn came, I was ashamed. When my turn came, I was ashamed. Once when we moved away, She came to Romulus for a day. Her Chevrolet broke down. We prayed it'd never be fixed or found. We touched her hair, we touched her hair. We touched her hair, we touched her hair. We she had her last child, Once when she had some boyfriends, some wild, She moved away quite far. Our grandpa bought us a new VCR. We watched it all night, we grew up in spite of it. We watched it all night, we grew up in spite of it. We saw her once last fall. Our grandpa died in a hospital gown. She didn't seem to care. She smoked in her room and colored her hair. I was ashamed, I was ashamed of her. And I was ashamed of her. -------------------------------------------------------- It's a heartbreaking little song, but I love it. It's from his 3rd album Michigan, "Greetings From The Great Lake State".

rage against the machine - mic check as well as most of their songs.
RATM's evil empire album was the first CD I ever brought, and they were my fav band for about 4 years between the age of 12 and 16 but after that I'd just heard their songs TOO many times and needed a break, I still love em to death though.

The self-titled one is my favourite. It has the best memories attached to it. Ahh to be 17 again... good times.
