Ok. I know we don't have much to get excited about just yet, but I can't stand it any longer. I'm starting a thread NOW, DAMMIT!!! So anyway. People better start getting all hyped up with me or heads will roll. #59# I have no idea what to say. Did anyone get the rip off DVDs?? I did. And in true lamearse style, I took photos and scanned things from the little booklets.... oooh fun!  Note the sticker on the covers that says "look for new Tool release - spring 2006"  Inside the Schism booklet:  Inside the Parabola booklet:  (ha ha @ that little kid...) Anyway... I haven't listened to the remixes or the commentary yet, but I hear it's quite funny. So yeeaaaaaaahh.... c'mon people. (Lauren, Ben, I mean you.. lol) |

I have the schism one but still have yet to pick up parabola. I love those clips so much, especially parabola. I'm trying not to get too exited about the new release because if you watch the kettle it never boils, or something like that lol. It just seemed like that with NIN's with_teeth I was anticipating it's release 1 year before it actually got released, and it just seemed to never get here. |

Yeah. The NIN wait was helped a bit for me by downloading the leaked songs - by the time the album came out, I'm ashamed to say that I had the ENTIRE thing already on my computer... *sigh* what a terrible fan. So I deserved to have the end of Million Dollar Baby ruined for me #19#
I'm SO not doing that with Tool. I'm not even going to download one leaked song, if they do get leaked... (though these days, they usually do).
Oh yeah - you might've noticed on the Schism dvd that in the menu thingy there's one option that just goes nowhere. It's the same on the Parabola dvd too. There has to be some kinda hidden stuff there?? When/if you figure out how to bloody find that, let me know pleaaaase! haha.

Sorry for the delay! I have been a bit absent online recently.  Yeah. Lots of dates with Depeche Mode. If they tour with them I will be in heaven.

"Rumors continue to fly around about album release dates, and now rumors are out about the title of the new album. A Seattle radio station this morning announced the title would be "Elephtheria", to which Maynard's response was "nice try." Even more amusing were the song titles they announced (these bogus names are here only so you can laugh and ask yourself if these sound more like Tool titles or Limp Bizkit titles) -- "Greed Lies", "Psychiatrical", "Karma", and "Feminist Souls." Yikes.
The new album title will be publicly announced first on the Tool Army site, and will probably spread like wildfire from there... "

According to toolshed.down.net...... "I've gotten reports from several people that JJJ in Australia is announcing April 29 as the release date for the new album. If I know my CD release trivia, Australia now releases CDs on Saturday, so this makes sense. Blabbermouth also posted a news update claiming a May 10 release in Japan. " The aussies release new albums on Saturdays now? weiirrrdooos.... We generally get new releases on Mondays so hopefully it'll be out here only two days later. (then again, I hear JJJ are the kinda folks that talk out their arses a lot, so who really knows!) |

What terrible little Tool fans we are.......... Oh well. I'm sure you guys are keeping up on the news on your own anyway. All I can say is I hope they play Vicarious on our local lamearse Nickelback-infested rock station, because the no-download oath still stands!! |

hehe, yeah, I'm pretty excited about the recent news. I'm hoping that more tour dates are announced soon. Actually, I stopped listening to the radio over the last few months because there only seems to be the Nickelback-like stations around here, too. Of course I haven't put in a whole lot of effort to find new stations, so maybe I should do that. I'm gonna have to if I want to hear Vicarious before May 2nd. |
