2806. Masala. OMG, Alex has been cooking a lot for me since he's been out of work with his injury, and it's been heaven. We both love Indian food, and this is just about the yummiest stuff ever. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite foods. 2807. My backyard. I am so lucky to have such a pretty, wooded backyard. When I think about the apartment we were considering in Missoula that was in the middle of the city and surrounded by barbed wire, I really have to be grateful for my lovely backyard. 2808. Having a fairly stress-free job. For the first time in YEARS I am actually looking forward to summer. I always dreaded it in the past because it's the tourist season here. With dog grooming and waitressing, I've always had to deal with a lot of people during that time. It's nice not being sick to my stomach with dread anymore.

2811. Friends who inspire me to pick up that scary contraption known as the phone, and somehow manage to make the use of said scary contraption pretty damn painless, too. 2812. Minnesota (or perhaps Wisconsin?) accents.

2813. My baby brother is home for a week! That's wonderful, Miranda! I miss my brothers something fierce. I pretty much break down every time he leaves. His visit this time was a surprise - we thought he wouldn't come home until after he gets back from Iraq in the fall, but the army keeps pushing back his deployment date so we get him now.

On the 4th of July it will be 3 years that I've had absolutely no contact with my brother. He's a flake and a jerk...and I love and miss him to pieces.

2815. Lipton diet Pureleaf iced tea with lemon. 2816. Spending the day gardening. I'll post pics on my facebook soon. 2817. This---> www.worldwise.com/catscratcher.html It's just a great product. I've had a regular scratching post for my cat, and she was using it for awhile, but when I got a new couch I had to move it, and she's ignored it ever since. Luckily she hasn't scratched the couch, but she's done quite a number on my bed's box spring. I don't really care because it's old, and no one sees it anyway, but I was so glad to find a scratching post she'll actually use. The fact that it's biodegradable and made with recycled materials and organic catnip is pretty cool, too. If you've got kitties, I highly recommend it. Edit- For larger cats, there's also a larger model. www.worldwise.com/widbodcatscr.html I've been taking a look around the site and basically all their products are pretty fantastic. I really like the philosophy of the company, too. But I'll stop rambling now.....

2818 Sabs for posting this!! I'm moving in with my friend who also has cats so we're going to have four cats all together. It's going to be madness but luckily we have a massive box room in the new flat so we're planning to put everything in there. We're renting though and some of the furniture belongs to the landlord so I'm going to stock up on these. ;D

^Yay for a house full of kitties! Hopefully they all get along.. So far, the Superscratchers are only available at stores in the U.S, but here's a list of online retailers. www.worldwise.com/onre1.htmlGood luck with the move! I hope you'll post a pic of your new place and all the cats together when you get settled.

2820. My dad sorted out a good way for me to listen to music through the computer in my room again.... although it only works if I'm sitting in this particular chair because the cord doesn't stretch across the room to my bed, but then that situation is what the cheapo ipod dock I bought is for. Hooray for music in me room again.

2821. I'm sure no one finds this as exciting as I do, but it makes me happy- My pair of hairy woodpeckers have sucessfully raised 2 babies! The past week or so I have witnessed the parents feeding the babies at the suet feeder, and today I saw the two babies playing by themselves. They're SO cute. It's nice to know that I helped provide food for these lovely birds.
