There should have been more of Daniel Craig's character at the end, but noooooo.... it would've been such a good ending too, a bit of suspense never hurt anyone. Oh well.

i actually cant even remember eva green being in it?? definitely not enough daniel craig too . yep they've said they missed the ending out because they're going to start the next film with it but seeing as nicole kidman's supposedly pregnant then i cant see the subtle knife being made very soon. also why did they have to change the name too the northern lights was a perfectly good name to start with. did anyone else like the ending i thought it was pretty dire even my boyf did and he's not hard to please when it comes to films. hmmm rant over. i loved iorek too he looked so cuddley.

Oh well, as long as they put it all together properly in the start of The Subtle Knife.. still would've been better to end it right though. They probably wanted to be softcocks and end it on a happy note so as not to put anyone off. Also maybe they think it'll be easier to follow showing them go into the other world at the start of the next movie, rather than start it there and have to have one of those "last time, on His Dark Materials" things...
Maybe they didn't call it Northern Lights because they barely even mentioned them and it would've confused people who hadn't read the book? They SHOULD have but noooooooo........ hahaha. Only time I remember seeing them was in that video thing of the dude with the dust, and then towards the end? Or something like that anyway.

well, seeing as Compass was not incredibly successful to begin with, pregnant Kidman or no (so happy for her by the way), i doubt they'd make a second one right way. a sequel will be a bitch to push through the studio heads.

Tenacious D - The Pick of Destiny

yuck, i never liked Jack Black. meanwhile, i'm just coming back from watching a great Dutch film called The Black Book. it's a WW2 film. it was great having a different perspective, up until tonight, 99% of all films i'd seen about World War II were German. And as much as i loved them, the Dutch version was even better.

never watched The Pianist, though i really wanted to. thing is, the Hollywood perspective is far more romanticized than that of European films, i tend to prefer them.

My friend Amanda wanted to see 27 Dresses but it sold out right before we were going to get our tickets. I was kind of glad, because I wasn't looking too forward to seeing it. Anyway, we ended up seeing Juno and it quickly became one of my favorite movies and Juno is one of my favorite movie characters. Ever. The whole thing is hilarious in a dry, sarcastic way...which is my favorite kind of humor. Also, it was a pretty good soundtrack that included Belle and Sebastian and Cat Power. Yay!

There's finally a few movies on that I actually want to see. Juno is one of them, glad to hear you enjoyed it Carly - that's probably a good sign I will.
Haha last movie I saw was Taladega Nights. Oh dear. I thought Sacha Baron Cohen was hilarious in it though.
