Last night I watched the first half of The Ringer. It was alright. I also managed to make it through half of Marie Antoinette as well. Let's just say I was really disappointed in it. I hate how modernistic they made it, minus the costumes. I was really hoping for a period peice-esque type thing.
All let downs aside though, the last proper film I saw was Babel.

Marie Antoinette was boring and long.
Babel was good but kind of long. I still enjoyed it, though!
The last film I watched was 300! It is awesome!

Babel was such a brain bleeder. Too many stories going on at once. I felt like I was watching an episode of Lost.

Pride & Prejudice - the new movie version... WHY did I watch that? what a crapfest. Jenni, please don't waste a couple hours of your life on that one. Seriously.
After that I watched Cujo which was a much better use of my time. Even though I was hungover and the soup I was eating reminded me too much of pus and goo running down poor Cujo's face... YUM YUM.

hahaha, Cujo... i never wanted to see that, i felt sorry for the poor demonic dog. meanwhile, i'm kinda debating right now if i should go watch Fur or not. i really like Nicole Kidman but it's like after she won her Oscar she just started going deeper and deeper in these pseudo-art films to score another nomination and they keep coming out all.... wrong! 'Birth' was a hideous, hideous film. i'm kinda suspecting Fur is the same.

^ yeah I feel sooo sad for Cujo, it was hard to watch even though it's not real. Most of the time I couldn't look at him. The book was better as usual, because it explained more - he wasn't just rabid but I guess somewhat posessed or egged on by that evil spirit guy.. shit it's been a while since I read it, can't remember what his name was.

Cujo: the movie was okay but the book scared me! Like Aims said, it explained things very well.

hey, if you're reading Cujo and you're afraid, you can always put it in the freezer.

The Devil and Daniel Johnston. A totally fucked documentary about a totally fucked bi-polar artist. I loved it. Before that I watched Tideland. It was neat. xo

hey, if you're reading Cujo and you're afraid, you can always put it in the freezer. Hahaha!! Cujo is the only Stephen King book I've read that I didn't find scary though. Ok about 5 pages into it, there was a scary bit but after that it was just crazy suspense. I understand why Joey put The Shining in the freezer though I've never been able to get through that, or IT.

OK to stop hijacking by talking about book versions...... I watched like 40 minutes of Clerks 2 but then the dvd shat itself I'm so annoyed. Rented it from an online place too so it's not like I can just take it back and demand a free replacement. Their customer service is non-existant. So will just have to rent it from the shop up the road now.

I watched Zodiac. It was long, but interesting. Before that I watched The Number 23. I enjoyed that one a lot. I'm just a sucker for Jim Carrey.

Ko-gitsune Helen (Helen the Baby Fox)
It was on TV a few nights ago and I bawled. It's about a little boy who finds a baby fox on the side of the road and takes it home. His dad is a vet, and a few days later, they discover that the fox is blind and deaf (hence the name she is given). It was such a pulling of my heart strings, but I did enjoy it. It even had a talking cockatoo. Now THAT cracked me up, to hear it in Japanese, haha.

I just watched Donnie Darko. It was on tv a few weeks ago, but I only caught the end of it, so I decided to rent it out. I thought it was really weird and disturbing, but I loved the music in it, so I gave it another go and read a few things on a few websites, so it started making a bit more sense. Then I went out and bought the two disc special edition and I love it! I can't find the damn soundtrack to to save my life, so I just downloaded the songs. Anyway, I've now decided it's one of my favourite movies.

Pan's Labyrinth, one of the greatest dark fantasy films of all-time as far as I'm concerned.
