This happened Friday night. Sarah's roommates got pie from Baker's Square so everyone was eating pie except us. Sarah: "We're very sorry we're not a part of your pie group." Amanda: "Ooooh, we should start a band called 'Pie.'" Me: "We should! We could be a Cake cover band!" Heh heh. That's the laughing sound I just made.

"Greed is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed will save the U.S.A." Stanley Weiser and Oliver Stone, Wall Street, as spoken by Michael Douglas as Gordan Gekko.
Or... George "DUB-YA" Bush, at the last debate.
...Maybe that's just what I thought he said...

(that's the sound I made) My grandmother: Have you finished your exams now, sweeta? Me: Yep! All finished! My grandmother: You close all the doors? Me: Yep, closed all the doors. My grandmother: (in Greek) Ok, now we have to wait and see if your eggs turn out black or white!

K. is at one grocery store using their internet access. It's midnight, and relatively few people are working. One lady came to the register and said loudly:
"Ok, who wants to check me out??"
Heheheh.

Claire: "Carly, do you work out? Your abs are pretty ripped."
Me: "No, I don't. But I should. And how do you know so much about my abs anyway?!"
Claire: "Oh, I noticed it a few weekends ago when you were laying on the bathroom floor puking and I was spooning you."
BAHAHA!

Talking about the dolphin news with K: Me: Amazing stories. And this is not the first time I've heard about this happening, wow. K: Yeah. But someone made a point that if the dolphins once messed around with humans and killed them, there would be no one to tell *that* story! Me:... true, true. Silly morbid pupu

mmmh... I wouldn't say so. Dolphins have a natural sense of protection for human beings. I think it would be in the news because they're not used to kill humans.

mmmh... I wouldn't say so. Dolphins have a natural sense of protection for human beings. I think it would be in the news because they're not used to kill humans. Well, that was a joke. In the same vein as if someone said "All the people say that Jenni is a really nice girl" and someone retorted "Yes, but the ones who didn't think so never survived to tell!", hehe. But now that we're in the topic, I think dolphins could kill humans -- at least by accident. I don't know what their "natural sense for protecting humans" is, but my theory is that if such a thing exists, then it would mean they percieve us somehow similar to them. In my opinion that could cause trouble. I have heard of stories where large sea mammals (tame) have played with people, not realizing what harm they can do to us because we are not like them, we can't stay under water for long. Mainly of course I agree that dolphins are very docile, but lot of it is due to us just wanting to see the positive aspects of these wondeful creatures. The following quote-snippet is from this site ( www.dcpongo.com/ecoen.htm) about diving and human contact with dolphins. "The view that dolphins are friendly, gentle creatures is widespread. However, there are a number of cases where dolphins have endangered and injured humans. For example, Donald, a sociable mature male bottlenose dolphin carried people out to the sea and sometimes held divers on the sea-bottom for short periods. A sociable adult male bottlenose dolphin named Horace became extremely rough and forceful in his interactions with swimers. Another male bottlenose, Percy sometimes pushed swimmers and surfers away from the shore and prevented them from returning. In addition, Percy also injured some people with aggressive attacks."

And another, nicer quote! I was talking online with a friend of mine.
Friend: I'll be going to a party on saturday. I haven't met any of the people before. Me: Yikes! How did you meet them? Friend: Online. They seem nice enough though Me: You're a brave girl! Friend:... Me: Oh oops wait, that's how we met, too. Friend: Hehehe, yes.
