at school in American Literature we recently finished Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter. we're currently doing analysis on Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher. odd story!

^^ oh, I remember reading both of those!! I liked both. Since my school was not that far away, we had a feild trip to Salem (MA) to see some Hawthorne's house.

i'm in the last couple of pages of dan brown's "da vinci code", and i loved it so far, though i sense that the end might be disappointing. So how was it? I read it this summer... I liked the idea and can see how it's so popular. I was all the yime checking the Internet for clues of how much is "fact"... I wish it were non-fictional. Parts I didn't like though, but can't really put my finger on it. At the moment I'm reading Marion Zimmer Bradley's Mists of Avalon... it's over 1000 pages of smallest print ever and don't know when I'll be able to finish it if aver, now into some 200 pages to it. Love it though, it's fabulous! It tells the story of Arthur and his knights of round table from the point of view of the women of that time. Also, I finally read Gaiman, Coraline and Stardust about a month ago too... I loved Stardust, it was this style, how to put it, "real life tasting" fairytale.

I've had it on my shelf for a while, but I haven't gotten to it. Maybe it's how intimidating the size is!

once you've started it, if you like it, the size won't be a problem anymore I had long put off reading Pulp's biography and it was such a great read that even though it was long, it wasn't a problem while I was reading it.

I finished Anansi Boys this morning (so good!! but we wouldn't expect any less from Neil, would we?).
Am going to start Punk Land by Carlton Mellick III tonight. (I feel so geekily special too, because it's signed specially to me)
