I know where it is! I kinda stumbled across it the other day when my eyes were 'traveling'. I thought, 'oh, look that - I think that's a K!' But I didn't know it's on every album booklet. Jenni, I'm gonna read your review as soon as I've finished mine. I'm trying not to read everyone else's so that I can write a 'pure' non-essential Kate Bush fan-type review. If that makes sense. It's very exciting learning bits and pieces about Kate and her music

Ack, I wrote a reply here and then it disappeared. And now I have to go! So real quick:
Paulo--whee, found it!
Helly--I know what you mean! I still haven't read other reviews either. Waiting anxiously to hear what you have to say!
And regarding videos: sorry I just saw the question you posted earlier. The videos are pretty hard to get--I know that online AOL has This Woman's Work. But that's about it. Try your luck at local rental places for The Whole Story collection. Unfortunately the vids I had on my computer are gone now, argh.
Oh, and check your PMs. This means you too, Paulo.

hey, i have them all, i can upload them to all of you if you want! nothing gives me more pleasure than spreading KT joy. and yea Helsie, that's intentional, Kate's fans have contests every time a new record comes out (which means once a decade or so) to see who finds out first where the KT symbol is. it's actually a TK if you look at it closer. that's her trademark. ps. way to go K.

*GASP* Paulo, I would build a shrine for you next to my bed if you would upload those videos... I especially love the Sat in Your Lap-video, it's so damn bizarre!
Do you know btw if there's a video for Experiment IV? I heard someone say that once but I've never seen it.

Haha yes, Paulo has all the videos - as do I, thanks to a certain Brazilian wonderboy. I'll write my own review soon, maybe... maybe not. It does take time for me to get acquainted with some of the songs individually, with records that are as complex and striking as this one. We'll see. I can say that the album is amazingly beautiful, if that counts as a review.

YES! There's a great video to it. so, which download file site would you prefer, rapidshare or yousendit? i don't know how to use yousendit very well. i'm gonna try, but if it doesn't work, it'll be rapidshare, which, unfortunately, has a download limit.

Ok, I have now heard How To Be Invisible and Pi, thanks to a Canadian friend. Love the guitar in HTBI. And the lyrics! Pi is interesting and I'm becoming addicted to it. LOL that Kate can sing numbers in decimal places and make them sound so pretty. Even if she's wrong/incomplete... Alison says "this doesn't sound like the Kate I know". I said "this is the new Kate - she released her last album before you were born!" - and I realized how weird that was to say to my 11 year old. Getting excited for the rest of the album and especially some Sky-ish songs... Paulo, glad you got your album so soon! Jenni, I'll remember to come back and read your Kately LJ entry after I have a full listen of the album in a couple months. .... is that a storm in the swimming pool?....

LOL, hey Mayr, i haven't gotten it yet!!! it's still on its way. i have only heard King Of The Mountain, How To Be Invisible, Joanni and Bertie. I'm sooooooooo psyched about hearing Pi, but i still need to wait a couple more days! and good that you're here, are you gonna tell me how to use yousendit? uploading videos to rapidshare takes forever. and lol, i can't believe your 11 y/o daughter says things like "the kate bush i know" hehehe.

Well, I confess to playing mostly Hounds of Love and TSS in any kind of repeated fashion nowadays, so those are the songs she knows best. And it's freaking hilarious how much Connor doesn't like "scary Kate". He gets nervous if he sees me with the Never for Ever disc in my hand because the song Violin totally freaks him out! He can't take it! Haha, I torture my children with "scary" music. I'm such a good mom! Um, I'm not sure about the yousendit thingy. I've never sent videos with it before. But if the videos are uploadable files I don't see why it wouldn't work. All you do is go to that yousendit page, put in the person's e-mail address then use the 'browse' button to locate the file from your computer. Takes a few minutes to send each file. Alternatively, you can e-mail yourself all the files then give your friend the links to the files all in one e-mail message to the friend which you send yourself. The links are the "http..." addresses that show when you click "download" for each file - they also show up in your browser when you actually click the link. So just copy/paste what's in your browser for each file that uploads. That's how I do it. Hope that helps.

LMFAO! OOOOH evil mommy dearest! Violin scares the crap out of me too... You know what you should do? Order the Live At Hammersmith Odeon VHS (yes, i know, but it was 1979!) and force him to watch the live version of it when they're misbehaving, mwahahaha!!! i'll try the yousendit thingie again. that what i was doing, but somehow the file links weren't sent to my gmail account? i'll try again with hotmail. thanks! oh, and Jay, it was the wonderboy's pleasure. there are a couple missing, though. oh yea, Mary, did you ever see the red dress version of the Wuthering Heights video? i downloaded it yesterday - and Jenni was kind enough to remind me i hadn't watched it yet, the darling creature - and it's insanely scary. Jenni or Helen or I can put up the link for download if you want.

Paulo--I only know YouSendIt from the downloader's point of you, and it's been working for me pretty well, hehehe. But do it any way you think is easiest! Oooh Experiment IV... Also, I absolutely adore the one for Hounds of Love (despite Kate's very Beverly Hills 90210 hair style!).
Mary--that was one of my comments about pi, too. Gah, Kate has this wonderful ability of making pretty much anything taste like chocolate on your tongue! If she writes a song about being a Star Trek-fan, attending ComicCons and then includes a bit in sweet, sweet Klingon language, I'll just throw my hands in the air and say "You win Kate, you win. Ok?"

hahaha, that'd be a weird theme to write about... then again, she wrote a song about Pi and about washing clothes on her new album, so i guess she's not too far from writing one about Star Trek... and i tell ya, one day she's gonna write a song about me.

And you know what else? It looks like the TK is holding Bertie's hand!!!! Are there more symbols than one in the album? Or then my imagination is just very dull and I can't see the hand :/ Guide me to it, please Helen (I've only found the one on the cover)

Helsie, what the heck are you talking about?? I don't have the album myself, but as far as I know there's only one TK symbol per album and in Aerial it's definetely on the cover!
But I dare you: Find the other ones! I know where they are in The Kick Inside, Hounds Of Love, The Sensual World and The Red Shoes. haven't been able to find the other ones yet. especially not in Never For Ever, which is almost impossible!

Hey guys and gals, I finally finished my review: my thoughts on Aerial's second disc can be found here. A Sky of Honey is a damn fine theme album. I've always been a bit sceptical about "artistic" theme albums, but whoooeeeee. This is just something else. I think I might like it even better than the "main" album. It's just so smooth and you can totally hear it how Kate wrote it all with a clear concept and goal in mind. Also, it's like I say in the review, too, a definite "feel"-album. The imagery and the changing rhythms and genres totally play tricks with me, and I love every second of it!

Ooooh! There's an almost half an hour long Kate-interview available online at BBC Radio 4-site! Go here and scroll down a wee bit: www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/arts/frontrow/You need a RealPlayer to hear it. What a lovely voice!

yea, her spoken voice is so smooth and soft, isn't it? you almost can't picture her singing harpie-like tunes like Wuthering Heights and Wow.

It's such a beautiful, interesting record. The musical components alone will give me analytical tasks for a lifetime. What a stunning songwriter she is though huh. I must admit, the first track I was drawn to listening to was An Architect's Dream because I'm a big fan of The Decemberists and their I Dreamt I was Architect so it was just a natural magnet. But now of course I can't get George Costanza out of my head... But that track - Architect - it's like being in utopia for 3 minutes.
Great album. Love it.
