I think I've officially chosen a favorite.
Although the Nocturn/Aerial[/b] duo is quite amazing, I'm gonna have to say my favorite is Somewhere In Between[/b]. Sometimes I just don't get Kate's lyrics at all, and sometimes they completely get me, and that song's definitely the latter.

how peculiar, i absolutely love that song too, but more for the melody and the vocals than for the lyrics themselves. not that they're bad, quite the contrary, but the melody just takes me to a whole different place. meanwhile, i'm listening to A Coral Room right now and that song never ceases to amaze me. how can i speak about having a favorite when i love the entire album?? i'm just not very fond of Bertie and How To Be Invisible. just never struck a chord with me.

oh yeah the melody is definitely part of it it really fits with the lyrics, and i agree that it takes you to another place entirely. i think that's why i love it so much. i go to that place somewhere in between whenever i listen to it ♥

LOL. I received this album for Christmas. It's my only Kate album thus far. All the bird stuff is just doing me in. Anyone that knows me knows why. I love it. It's hard to choose, but I think Sunset is my favorite song. (Jason, the rust part reminds me of one of your recent poems. ) But Joanni is a close second.

Sabsy, the bird sounds are almost identical to the bird singing here. They're doing me in, too!
I've almost finished my review on this.

oooh Helsie, post it! post it! i wanna see it! i know i should write one too, but i could never be objective about it. let's just say i skip Bertie and How To Be Invisible more often than not abd absolutely adore the rest like i'd written them with my own teeth.

My Aerial Review:
It's really good. Some parts I like better than others, the second disc is better overall, but wtf is up with that weird old English dude?

i like the old english dude! also, did anyone ever notice that Kate actually does say words over - or rather, under - the bird singing in Prelude and Aerial Tal? i can't for the life of me make out what she's saying, though. anyone?
