Oh I hope they do go to your festival, you'll love them! It really was an awesome show - they played for three hours. My fingers are crossed for you! Aww when you saw SP was it the good old lineup?? I'm still a bit bummed that I'll finally get to see them, but without James and D'arcy. Oh well I'm sure it'll still be good. And if I'm being totally honest I'm there more to see QOTSA. They are great live, although last time I saw them they had all these sound problems at a music festival so cut the set short. They did play another gig at the very end of the night to make up for it which was cool, but we were too exhausted by then to stick around for it. And then I bought tickets to see them a couple of years later but they CANCELLED waah... haha so it's been a looong wait. Oh, btw - where did you see Bat For Lashes? At a festival? I heard about them recently and downloaded Fur & Gold... pretty good, I bet they'd be interesting live.

It was!! It was so long ago now though. Thanks my fingers, toes, eyes - anything that can cross is crossed. I really love the cover tori did of love song have you heard it?( probs a silly question) Three hours?? Where did you see them?
That's so annoying when there are sound problems at gigs it kind of ruins the whole thing cause normally you can tell the band/ artist is really put off by it and then you end up being to. Yeah bat for lashes are brilliant. The first time i saw them was in an old converted church where they have gigs in the basement and at the risk of sounding like a pretentious idiot the venue really matched their whole vibe was rather atmospheric. The second time was at the festival i went too and i was a little hungover and hadn't slept so only caught about half of them before heading back to our tent. QOTSA will def be worth the wait hopefully it will be your 3rd time lucky.

lol oh yeah, I saw The Cure at a proper concert, not a festival... so that explains the 3 hour set. Although that's still amazingly long for a band to be on really. Roger Waters played for ages too but not sure it was quite 3 hours (maybe 2.5... can't even remember now, it just wizzed by so quick). It said on the tickets they'd be onstage 8pm sharp - necessary so they'd be able to get in the 3 hours, but also soooo good going to a concert for once and knowing for sure when they'll be on stage! I loved it.. hahaha. Ooh the Bat For Lashes gig sounds really cool. The venue can make or break a concert, it's always awesome to see a band in a small place
