I'm ashamed to say that I'm totally going to read the next Twilight book soon, and let's face it - probably the other two eventually as well.. Sigh. It's such a load of crap but it sucked me in. (HA HA - sucked. No pun intended)
Anyway right now I'm reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. SO good.

Oh, I know Aims, sucked me in too... Twilight... yeah, it's weird, I just finished the third book (Eclipse) and I think I will read the fourth one too... luckily our library doesn't have it yet. I don't know, it's such a hate-love relationship with me and those books. I don't mind if they break vampire rules, I'm more of a slayer fan anyways (ok and it does bug me that slayers probably wouldn't stand a chance with these semi-gods, thank god for werewolves!)...but gosh, I hate the kind of portrayal of love and relationship it has in it... ok, maybe it's actually just a very good representation of teenage hormones and it probably would have been my favourite book if I'd read it 10 years ago... but I really don't understand how she can love someone who feels cold as ice and hard as rock... I mean can you imagine kissing that... LOL, yes, I'd prefer Jacob.

^ hell yes, Jacob over Edward any day lol
I'm halfway through Eclipse now. I think I need to get into the Vampire genre a lot more... I already have the Anne Rice love/hate thing from long ago, read a bit of Poppy Z Brite, and just got into the Sookie Stackhouse books (only read the first so far though) - but know there is a lot more out there. Now I'm gonna be working in a library, I would LOVE to have to something better to recommend to all the teenyboppers coming in trying to get copies of Twilight (massive waiting lists right now).

Sounds interesting. I'm going to start reading more graphic novels, right now I'm reading Watchmen. I'm also reading My Booky Wook by Russell Brand. So far a laugh and a half.

Still working my way slowly and deliberately through Comic Book Tattoo would you believe? So busy. Staying away from Twilight and all, though enjoyed some Poppy Z Brite in my day. Next on the list is the latest Leonard Cohen poetry book, and perhaps a re-read of Iain Banks' The Wasp Factory.

I saw another Iain Banks book the other day, Whit or something like that (it has a longer title but I can't remember it now) - sounds interesting. Have you read any of his other books? so far it's only The Wasp Factory for me. Oh and good on you staying away from Twilight... hahahaa.. First time I've been like "stupid vampires, I wish she'd get together with the werewolf instead!!".
Ben, that sounds really interesting but with high potential to do your head in. Evolution is fascinating though, I want to learn more but have been lazy and only relied on documentaries so far.
Right now I'm reading The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly. Easy read... and full of the creepy sick kind of fairytale characters.
